ActiveSync Via Bluetooth remove System Tray Icon?

When I activesync via bluetooth, a system tray icon of the connection shows up. Is there a registry tweak that can prevent the tray icon from being displayed? I'm using wisbar advance 3 and it does hide it but the problem is that the scrollbar appears due to the space that the icon takes up.
