OK, Sorry if I cant follow black and white but I did the i910 ROM upgrade and I don't have GPS. I followed everything and turned on the GPS location. MSN and Goggle can not find me. Am I doing something wrong? If so please feel free to smack me in the head. Anyway hope someone can help.

Updated - COM8 seemed to work but took a bit to lock on. any other ideas?

Some of these posts need to update so everyone does not have to read 100s of posts.

Now to find a good program lol feel free to help me out there as well

I'm having the same problem, my current settings for google maps are to use windows preferences for GPS, it says searching for GPS satellites for a while (5 min) then says 'weak signal or unable to acquire satellites.' I'm unsure of what to do if I was to use manual settings for it. Thanks for the help! (oh ya, and I am outside with clear sky and good view of all horizons when I try this)

com port 8, baud 57600, but usually I leave it on windows managed. It has taken upwards of 20min to get a lock for the 1st time. So, I disable my "screensaver" and set it out on the porch, come back after a game or two on the Wii and it is locked with 6-7 Sats, no problems. I have also read that sometimes if you have flashed a lot you might need to reflash the cc20 image again then go to the current ROM you want. Hope this helps. :D

I think the Omnia just has a weak GPS reciever. Or maybe I've dropped mine too many times. Driving around, GPS works great, but the initial lock takes a while and I still have issues with google maps locking the entire phone when using latitude. Same with Gloposis and Gippos.

It used to lock up and die or just randomly shut off and most of the time I'd have to pull the battery to get it working again. I reflashed and that seems to have taken care of that part of it.

Maybe the Omnia II will work better.

Initial lock can usually take a while, that's normal.

The Omnia's GPS Receiver is really outdated (more than 4 years old, I think) and hence isn't exactly high-end as far as receivers go.

i just flashed to the newest blazingwolf rom and then reinstalled IGO 8, and had a lock in under 5 mins.
