I910 sounds Help and email question

I am trying to add sounds for like text msging and email .. i cant seem to find the root folder where these would be does anyone know

also i have it set up to grab my gmail but it deletes the emails after 1 day is there anyway to have it not do that ?

you know how when u go into sounds and notifications where u can change the alert sounds for like incoming calls and msgs.. I wanna set a personalized tone for my text msgs. but i cant seem to add to those.. u just get the annoying ones that come with the phone. granded u can add ringtones..which i did just cant change the alert tones.

alert tones have to be .wav files

i'm trying to do the same thing. i do know that the files have to go in \windows folder (u can see all the other alert sounds here too) BUT my prob is i cant write/replace files in that folder, either on the phone or pc - wont allow access.
