touch hd deleted sms show in back end folders

Hey peeps forgive me if i am being thick

i have upgraded from my beloved omnia to the touch hd

when i delete a txt message via the touch 3d interface i find when i open my messages from the start panel thay are still there, is there a fix for this or anyone suggest a rom that has ben cooked to fix this little prob

or will i just have to put up with it ??????
