Firmware Update not happening - no errors?

Guys, I am trying to update my phone to the DZIA5 firmware, from the XXHJ1 firmware

I have done the registry change, the hex edit etc. and now it says "image version verified press ok to reset the device". 

So when I click ok, the phone restarts, but nothing happens after that. activesync seems to lose sync, and the updater program does nothing. 

I am using Windows XP SP2

Any Ideas
