Guest crosis001 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Hey people, I have upgraded my ROM from whatever it was LOL to the new custom DXIA5 ROM (speacial thanks to the team and all the people who worked on that) and I could say that the phone works like a charm. Is excellent. However, there is a small issue (not a big or serious issue) though.., upon receiving a missed call or an SMS, the notification widget doesnt pop up as it used to with the older ROM i had. I have to bring it up manually or tap the "notification" message on the lower left corner. When I soft reset the device, it pops up as before but thats it. Thereafter I have to do the manual thing. Not a big deal tho, but if there are other people out there who are experiencing this issue and or there is a fix for it or a registry "hack" lets say, could you let us know? Thanks in advance, Chris or Crosis :D

Yeah, right, it pops up (once) right after you soft reset the device then nothing.., pay attention to it and you will see :D . The same happens to mine as well, hopefully there will be a fix for it. chris
Guest kav Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 well its not really a big deal, i can live with it, but it would be nice to have something fully functional.
Guest pete.everitt Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 well its not really a big deal, i can live with it, but it would be nice to have something fully functional. I find this particularly annoying. I just flashed the ROM this weekend to DZIA5. It was a feature I used quite regularly so now to be without it is disappointing... Has anyone looked into this further and made any progress?

Has anyone looked into this further and made any progress? apparently this is a problem by default from the official ROM. some people have got it fixed in custom ones by editing some system files i think. not sure abt how they did it. if someone finds the answer to that problem, then post it here plz.

Guest tibor22 Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) Mates, you should read the forum more frequently. EVERY DXIA5 and DZIA5 official ROM (and therefore most cooked ROM based on those versions) has two serious bugs: 1. The problem with notification widget you have mentioned in this thread; 2. The Java engine crashes if you want to run Java applets with sound on. The applets run well only in muted state. That's why it's worth to switch to DXID1 offical (service) ROM by Secany, or any cooked ROM based on DXID1. The two bugs have gone, and I couldn't find any orther serious bug in DXID1.
