Guest whiplash000 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 (edited) Currently, my only option for internet is through my phone. It works plenty fast through USB, but the phone becomes as hot as the surface of the sun and the battery drains far faster than the puny usb cable can charge it. Bluetooth works fine (albeit slow) for a while but after about 45 seconds to a minute it disconnects forcing me to go through all the steps to reconnect. WMWifirouter works for a few precious seconds, but then fails saying "The remote party has disconnected the session", which coincidentally the other two connection types will say at any given time because they felt like it. Does anyone have a solution for any of my problems? EDIT: Now I'm having intermittent high pings which make it impossible to play online games: C:\Users\whiplash>ping -t google.com Pinging google.com [74.125.45.100] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=343ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=85ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=79ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=102ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=1819ms TTL=240 <--high ping Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=102ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=105ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=98ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=82ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=2239ms TTL=240 <--high ping Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=156ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=122ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=89ms TTL=240 Reply from 74.125.45.100: bytes=32 time=104ms TTL=240 This happens at very regular intervals. I'm running Windows 7 build 7057, which works perfectly otherwise Edited May 16, 2009 by whiplash000
