What UI to choose

Hello everyone

There are so many interfaces , but i cant choose between theese 3 <_<

1 is Wisbar Advance Desktop 2

Very customizible and functional

2 is SPB Mobile Shell 3

Veery functional , needs more customization, and i Really hate the Life style screen

3 is Titanium today plugin from WM6.5

Much customization can be done but not functional

the problem with polls like these is people want UIs for different things... wisbar people want something customizable and able to change from time to time.... spb you dont get to change much and is great for people that want things pretty much one way. and i havent used the other one...

but once someone tries something they wont try others unless they absolutely hate it so they have no opinion other than what they are using... your gonna get more spb users cause that is more widely known and they dont try anything else after that

i personally like wisbar way better than spb.... i like to change things up to be something totally different than what i just had..... spb you dont get much of that

I like titanium Bliss its so easy and fast to move around and get the job done... and you can add so many bars to it...

M2D is the second best...

SPB is nice, but its slow, ugly, and cant give you half as much stuff as Titanium or M2D.

I haven't tried Wisbar Advance Desktop 2.

um you could get screen shots of sbp and titanium but wisbar you cant since every interface is completely different... if you would like to read a bit about wisbar you can check out my review http://adamhandy.blogspot.com/2009/04/omni...ications-1.html and there is some shots of some of the different interfaces

Im using HTC home with S2U2. Not much of an UI but it looks nice.

I say which ever one you like most.. i like spb ms3 but lack of world clock on the main screens ticks me off, same with titanium.. those are all clever uis with wow factor for onlookers, and wad 2 can be as simple or as complicated as you need it to be. but Chris has some more bugs to work out.. He does answer promptly to questions on his forum though which is cool unlike SPB which seems to keep people in the dark about stuff..

Also if you are a gadget geek like many of us are you will not stick to one for too long regardless because you will always get the itch.. I have wm 6.5 and spbms3 on my device right now but i might go back to wad2 (again) when i get bored with the spb stuff.. and let them put out a few more updates so i can feel the wow factor again.

WAD2 was the first application I bought for my Omnia and I loved it at first. You can do 1,000,001 things and there are just so many skinz out there.

The problem for me with WAD2 was that it was two customizable. Every other day I was wanting to test out a new theme and usually the themes other people built never worked out 100% for me.

I loved SPB MS2 and MS3 just gets my mojo rising with the carousel. That's what I'm using now and don't really plan to change back to WAD2 despite the fact that some of the new skinz I see get me drooling (I actually have force myself to mentally block out any topic with WAD2 in it....obviously it doesn't work 100% or I wouldn't be responding)

As for the Titanium, I've only just played with it a little bit. Too busy trying to get GPS and Tracking 100%. Looks cool though and I'll play with it fo sho some mo.

you wont be able to find the installation files for these UI's on modaco. (not sure about titanium, because I never looked into it) But for SPB mobile shell 3, and Wisbar advance desktop, you must go on their official site to purchase them. Then you can get them on your phone <_<

how did you get htc working on the omnia? what version are you using exactly? i tried both 2.1 versions from pocketemu, but the htc screen just won't show up.

even though it's a relatively old ui, i think i like it the most because of it's simplicity..

but.. i can't get it to work <_<

okay after some research and two hard-resets because of the use of wrong versions, i finally found this 'xplode version edited by n2a' and it seems to work. now trying out hhc <_<

this is great because you can still use the windows today plugins as well (i like tasks and appointments to be shown).

what are you using to show the headlines there?

I have to say, I'm suprised at the lack of love for 'Winterface' I've tried a lot of replacement UI's and find this to be by far the easiest to use and most easily customisable! Check it out:

I almost bought SPB. But I found that it has no support for video-calls. Screen for normal calls is the same. No vide. After the videocall is finished you can see classic Samsung screen for video calls. But SPB doesnt initiate camera as well. Pretty good sh*t soft.

I tried Winterface as well. It's really good, really simple, really stable, but it's chi didn't agree with my chi. I really like the flow and looks of SPBMS3 the best.

PointUI is another good one, but I just found it missing something.

Are you telling me no one's a fan of WinMo 6.1 Today?

You should try throttlelauncher. I use the iphone today plugin and love it except for the weather problem that I am having. Best of all it's free. all you have to do is download a free license. If you don't like the iphone style there are several other ones... m2d, BB storm, android-ish. It is also a today plugin. very easy to use.

I've found that Wisbar Advanced Desktop 2 is the perfect fit me or, I would suppose, anybody. You can have or recreate ANY UI that have or haven't seen. My dad and I both use it on our phones. His UI is completely different than mine and we both enjoy an interface that makes sense to us. I am a business user. My dad is retired. Our I910s both meet different needs for us and WAD2 gives us unlimited custimization and functionality. I wouldn't run my phone without WAD2.

It's funny, I tried Advanced Desktop 2 and uninstalled it again. In fact, I have tried most UI's and keep coming back to SBP Mobile Shell 3.5. That, with MH Widgets added & Phone Ex handling the ringtone side of things seem to be all I need.
