Guest jclarkk Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Alot of specs have not been clarified yet such as ROM, RAM, Internal storage, Battery and etc which dosnt allow you yet to figure out whether this phone is really going to give a competition or not. I'm also less impressed with phones that are released with only a 533mhz CPU and dosn't mention a thing about 3D graphics, we will soon have a 1GHz Snapdragon phone from Toshiba and a 3D accelerated phone known as ofcourse Omnia i8910.
Guest maf107ezk0 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Even if it has a cooker I still wouldn`t buy it - 190grams is tooo much for me <_<
Guest eRoS08 Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Even if it has a cooker I still wouldn`t buy it - 190grams is tooo much for me <_< and its quite ugly...
Guest thescope Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 (edited) Look, It's a smart-PHONE. and a "Phone" HAS to fit in MY pocket or else it is NOT a phone according to me. SO, no... Diamond 2 that's an Omnia killer 2X RAM and GPU.. but i think ill stick to my Omnia till WM7 phones with Multitouch and better GPU's And I don't see the need for a keyboard or any keys at all when you have a touchscreen, Multi-evan better. Guest gragra Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 In my case the clincher for picking the Omnia over other WinMo phones is the 8/16GB storage capacity. Surprisingly, no other WinMo phone gives that option. I think I'll stick to my Omnia until an upgrade comes along.
Guest MrJoneswii Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 I think it's too big, too heavy, too bulky
Guest chokia Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Yeah i hope samsung will improve this design and make it lighter and nicer for OmniaPro Our omnia's size can easily fit 4.5" (21:9 Cinema Ratio) WVGA screen. So there is no need to increase the phone in size.
Guest JamesBond007 Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Very nice! I want this device. Unfortunately it will probably never hit the US, much less Verizon. BTW....multi touch sounds awesome, until it's not working correctly. Plus, I have not seen a single highly usable touchscreen software keyboard. I carried the Treo 700w for a few years because I couldn't give up the hard keys. I have the Omnia 910 now and the touchscreen/software keyboard just simply sucks. I'm about 10 times more effective with hardkeys.
Guest banderdragon Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 I just hate Acer. i spend to much time fixing there computers to even consider it.
Guest bpivk Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) I just hate Acer. i spend to much time fixing there computers to even consider it.Man. My experiences are just the opposite. <_< The only devices that I've ever sold and work well were Acer's. I'd buy this phone in a second but I'm fatefull to my Omnia. Edited May 19, 2009 by bpivk
Guest cyberarmy Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 No thanks, I want something smaller and before my Omnia, I had the Dopod 838 (the one on the right in the 2nd and 3rd photo). And this thing is big..... No need for a physical keyboard for me now. WVGA will be nice but I don't want to trade it off with battery life.

Yea and the diamond 2 has a slower processor and smaller battery. I wouldn't call that an omnia killer.
Guest kav Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 thats device looks very thick for my taste. that was one of the reasons i bought the omnia, because it is thin and i can easily slide into a suit and its not heavy and bulky so it doesnt look like u are carrying sort of a mini dictionary in ur pocket. <_<
Guest stuzathegreat Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Perfect phone for my needs. Got mine on order already with Expansys and should be delivered Wednesday next week. (its released on Monday but thats a bank holiday so expect to be posted Tuesday) Will try out Acer shell but I really, really, really like SPB Shell 3 so might just stick with that on it. As for keyboard, if you do any amount of typing on your touchscreen phones you KNOW that a screen is never as good as a keyboard. I thought I was stuck with a TPro 2 until I stumbled across this. Can't wait :) (im going to miss having 32 gig of storage though <_< )
Guest randy1971 Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Its actually a rebadged Eten Glofiish, just had a X500+ and it was the worst phone i've ever owned, so would never own one again.

Just going by looks it certainly appears to have changed for the better. If you look at the current Eten line-up its obviously significantly diferent and doesn't look anything like existing Eten products. I hope its the same for the insides as well <_< As for "worst phone i've ever owned", thats very subjective and dependant on your needs and requirements. I'm sure there are people out there that would say "best phone i've ever owned".

Never had so much trouble with a phone. But maybe acer is doing it better..the specs are interesting
Guest kurniawan Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Just buy it.... try it... come on, do it....

Guest jclarkk Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 A new device with 128 RAM? People just don't want to make a good device nowadays.
Guest stuzathegreat Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 A new device with 128 RAM? People just don't want to make a good device nowadays. Hmmm .... didn't know you had used one? How people can have a pop at this device before using it/reading a review is something I will never understand. Do you know how much ram is in use after its booted? The obvious plan for this device is that you install the apps to your memory card (no great deal when it should take a 16gig).
