Guest Isaac Newt Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Can anyone help me? I just upgraded my firmware from HH1 to HJ2 using the download from the samsung website. It all appeared to work fine and said it had completed OK and I could disconnect etc. I turned on the phone and everything appears to work fine EXCEPT that I cant' turn on the phone in wireless manager or in settings and also can't detect any internal GPS using googlemaps. I've tried hard resetting a few times (using the manual method, not going through the electronic menus, which tell me the phone needs to be switched on before I can format) and still no joy. Can I re-flash it or would this make my still semi-useful gadget into a completely useless brick? Any suggestions? Thankyou.

I thought the latest samsung updater didn't need the modems driver. I'ts not mentioned on the latest samsung instructions and I read somewhere else on this forum that it's no longer needed. Anyway, when I try to re-run the updater, the phone resets, the active sync disconnects and the first download fails. I don't know whether this fail is because it recognises that I'm trying to reflash the same firmware that it already has or is something different.
