Guest andwhy
this is my first post, so be nice <_< I finally am able to play gba games on my samsung blackjack (no overclocking!) For any other blackjack users who want to be able to play, here are some steps. note that this process upgrades you to WM 6.1, which was never officially released for BJ so installing it (i think) voids your warrenty. that said: 1. Download Samsung Blackjack Cooked ROM Bogart Edition. i found mine at http://www.wiseworm.com/index.php/2009/03/...bogart-edition/ 2. download gbace. i found mine at http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-s...ince-gbace-0-1/ 3. install Samsung Blackjack Cooked ROM Bogart Edition to your phone. i could only do it in xp, but im sure its possible with vista. in the folder you downloaded the readme file tells you how to install it. 4. install gbace to your phone(which now has WM 6.1). 5. get some gba roms. put them on your phone. 6. hold down the home button on your blackjack to bring up the task manager. from there, hit menu, utilities, rotate screen. 7. navigating with your screen sidesways can be tough but get to gbace 8. go to file, load rom, find it, and... 9. enjoy playing gba games! Guest lcdeaglefan
omg this works! the gbace runs pokemon ruby at a decent, very playable speed. this is the first game ive tried. the only way to run it is to leave it zipped tho. i think this is only for 16mb games, as baldurs gate worked and it is only 8mb. i have not tried to save anything, but i will keep you guys posted. the controls are a little awkward and i cant find the start button, but i have only been playin with it for 5 minutes. i was just too excited not to tell you guys. btw i also have a blackjack I and have installed the cooked rom and everything. its working great. this is my first post, so be nice ;) I finally am able to play gba games on my samsung blackjack (no overclocking!) Guest lcdeaglefan
ok so i figured out all of the buttons, they are a little awkwardly placed, but work. gbace is a able to save and load 9 game slots and they all work! i checked and it works for pokemon. all you have to do is press the start button (go back on blackjack) then save -> slot 1. when u want to play again u just load the rom first, then load slot1. I think this is only possible wit the wm6.1 cooked rom because of the rotate screen feature in the task manager
Guest galbro
the info here sound really nice but do you guy then play the GBA sideways then that would be odd for the controls to be on the right only and try to play the GBA. if that is the case ill just wait til it gets fixed. Guest andwhy
the info here sound really nice but do you guy then play the GBA sideways then that would be odd for the controls to be on the right only and try to play the GBA. if that is the case ill just wait til it gets fixed. The screen nicely flips automatically so that you hold the phone as you would normally, in landscape mode. the screen doesnt use the entire display, but it is definitely big enough to play on also, it appears this guy: http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-s...o-make-it-work/ has adapted my method to make it easier and not require upgrading to 6.1. i still suggest upgrading (i mean, its an upgrade, so why wouldnt you?) but this other way should work without having to flash your phone, which might make it accessible to more people. yay!
