Guest Lb51oO Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 I can't seem to find it but I thought there was a post here or something about installing all of your apps with one cab file? Does that ring a bell at all? Would be really helpful if it was possible to do with all the new roms coming out. Thanks in advance.
Guest Rooster Misfit Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 thats not possible unless someone installs all programs in that one cab.... each app is loaded on by a cab file.... if you were to put a bunch of apps in one cab and set it up to load that way... it would take more work making that happen than actually installing each app separately
Guest ardvarkofdoom Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Eh... it would be nice to have a mass installer... I've been addicted to flashing my phone lately, so having to one by one install apps gets to be a pain... but that's the price you pay to get your phone the way you want it <_<
Guest joža Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 install cab via activesync (google) go to mobile center, click more on program than you'll se icon add/remove programs click it and you will see all programs that you have installed through cab via activesync and exe files. yust tick the ones you like and they will install one after another, but probably you will have to do soft reset after that cya <_<
Guest Rooster Misfit Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 you will see all programs that you have installed through cab via activesync and exe files. yust tick the ones you like and they will install one after another why would you install cabs you already have installed?
Guest Natsirt Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 use a backup program .. it'll restore the phone to the way it was before u flashed it.. but still keeping the new rom
Guest dclaflin Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 I don't know if this is what you are talking about but this is SZTUPY's Manilla 2d all in one cab. Hope this helps http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-http-omnia-modaco-com/277941/all-in-one-manila-2d-update-22-beta2-available/

But first tell me what programs to include <_< By the way it will install for a very LOOONG time

Guest joža Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 why would you install cabs you already have installed? if you have deleted them from phone LOL
Guest Rooster Misfit Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 if you have deleted them from phone LOL then they would no longer be installed
Guest sector Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 this is a very bad idea for 1 cab install. 1. conflicts might come during installation, use of the phone. 2. if you want to uninstall 1 application you have to uninstall all of them lol
Guest Rooster Misfit Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 2. if you want to uninstall 1 application you have to uninstall all of them lol lmao
Guest ardvarkofdoom Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 use a backup program .. it'll restore the phone to the way it was before u flashed it.. but still keeping the new rom Doing it that way can create conflicts in the registry and with other files on the device installed due to rom. Especially say you are going from a 6.1 ROM to a 6.5 ROM
Guest gdwrnch29 Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 why would you install cabs you already have installed? Most likely he is a "frequent flasher", like myself (not the trenchcoat wearing type, the ROM type). I doubt he is interested in multiple installations of the same cabs, just a guess. I too would like an easier method of "rebuilding" my phone after a flash.

So is it true, that if I am absolutely happy with my current Wozzers 6.5 v2 setup (as I am!), and I use SPB Backup, that if i wanted to flash the Wozzers v3 or any later roms, that I could simply restore my v2 backup and I would experience my perfect setup, just on a newer rom? If I had issues, could I simply flash back to v2 and once again restore my backup? Edited May 20, 2009 by gdwrnch29

Guest chokia Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 SBPBackup - is the best app for flashtard backup all and restore all. including your email, application and settings, system files, registry, cache, cookies, passwords (it also have option whether to backup all or few) it will put everything in one backup_<date>.exe file that you can put in memory card or storage mem. After you finished flashing new ROM, just click this exe file and everything will be restored in the new rom. even without installing sbpbackup.cab in advance. Try it, it is way easier than sashimi or UC.

Guest Christian Spain Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 If you really want to reinstall everything easily after a flash try this.... http://www.winmo-experts.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4 this thread talks about it some http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-general...or-the-dummies/ I've got is set up to reinstall everything after a hard reset or flash, and to make a bunch of my favorite changes to the settings. In all after a flash it takes me about 15 min to get everything the way I like it including installing 20+ cabs Try it. Once you get it set up right it's freakin awesome. <_< :) B)
