when you try opening it on your computer are you dragging it out of your phone on to your desktop? if you havet tried that you shouold... if you have tried that then right click on it then go to properties.. check to make sure its a jpeg still and see what the summary has listed and stuff

I've had this problem with a video 2 times and file was corrupted even if i wanted to open it on the computer, so it would be great if someone gives some info why this happens cause it quite sucks this appears when u finish filming.

Anyway i have Khuanchai 21500 WM 6.5 touchflo2d ROM.

Maybe a hardware problem. It doesnt seem common, maybe try to get the phone replaced?

Hi,

I tried dragging it into my desktop and it didn't work.

Video files are working fine - that means that the camera itself is working and it saves the file and i can read it.

maybe a driver issue or something?

someone has some tools to check/alter the camera?

Sorry i ment that i tried dragging it into the PC and i had the same issue on the PC - file couldn't be displayed.

when right clicking it and choosing properties... in the summary it says it's unavailable for this file.

I had this issue long ago with an older firmware. Good news is, that theres no HW malfunction. Backup your entire phone with spb backup or similar, do a hard reset and try the camera again. Should work now. And when your lucky you can restore your backup and the cam is still working. You just gotta try, didnt work for me though <_< .

Well i do use M2D but i have the issue as well after HR, so there's no M2D installed there.

and the video files are working fine, only pictures are bad..

I have the exact same problem. Video is fine but photos are corrupted. I tried asking on this and another forum but people just told me to reset or update firmware etc, all of which I had obviously already tried.

I found that if I could get the camera to work ona very basic level, by opening the app and choosing continuous mode then it worked but took 9 photos of the same thing. These are at the very lowest resolution 320x240 so pretty poor. Think it must be a bug with the phone itself not being able to take hi-res pictures.I have tried numerous firmwares and updates but still the problem is there.

I had a similar issue - my video would not save in a format the omnia, or windows would understand.

All I did was remove the DCIM folder, and let it create it's own again, and saved my existing pictures/video in another directory.

After I did this, it has been working perfect.

yeh!

i have the same issue, "continuous" mode and also panoramic mode work fine.... but all other modes fail to produce a working file...

deleting the DCIM directory didn't help <_<
