I use my phone as my media player in my car. I'm also using SBP mobile shell 3. Is there an easy way to enable bluetooth and enable bluetooth audio? Can I make a shortcut?

Now I have to turn on bluetooth, click and hold on the device and select set as "Set as wireless stereo", then open Windows media player.

Is there any easier way!!??! It's a pain to do while driving.

Put a shortcut for the Wireless Manager on your Lifestyle Screen home. Two clicks to turn BT on and off. Make sure you use the MS3 Wireless Manager, not the WM6 built-in one -- the former automatically closes after you make a selected.

As for your other problem, I'm not sure why you're doing that, unless you have multiple BT devices you use for A2DP (like, maybe a reciever for your home stereo?).

If your BT connection in the car is the only one you use for A2DP, and it's the only device registered with the phone as an A2DP device, then it will automatically make the A2DP connection when you turn on BT and connect from the A2DP client device. No need to go into the BT control panel and explicitly set the device for "Wireless Stereo".

Otherwise, if you are switching between multiple BT devices for A2DP output, you're stuck with the method you're using. Irritating, I know. Similarly irritating is the inability to direct sound to the BT device with the wired headphones installed, preventing use of the built-in radio with BT.

why dont you install the comm manager or device manager applet, it has wifi and bt on and off. It works fine.

I tried using the device manager a few weeks ago, and it didnt work.

I tried to turn the bluetooth off, and then back on, and the bluetooth receiver still wouldnt pair...

So i decided to enable the receiver's handsfree capability.(Before i just had it set to wireless stereo).

Now it works! All i do is click device manger- turn bluetooth off(if it is on) and turn it back on, and im done.
