Phone Turns Off

also after loading the new rom phones been turning off on me like once a day and i either have to pop the battery off or soft rest. Any ideas why?

happens to me sometimes. i either have to pull the battery or soft reset. holding down the power button does nothing.

occasionally it will just lock, mainly when running google maps. same thing, have to soft reset or pull the battery.

this has recently started happening with me too...the phone shuts off and I can't get it to turn back on in wireless manager...usually have to pull the battery and let it sit for a minute before putting it back in to get it to work again. Soft reset doesn't work all the time.

I was happening to me a lot when I was using Pocket player. When I would let the screen lock while it was open, it would never let it wake again. soft resetting would work for me. The problem went away when I switched to pocket music instead. what programs do you have installed? Any that are memory hogs? try making sure that you close those programs, and not let them run in the back ground.

no this isn't the screen turns off and won't wake. This is the phone is usable as everything but a phone. I go into wireless manager and the phone is off, but bluetooth is still on. When I click phone to turn it back on I get the spinning dots (wm6.5) and then nothing....Last time I had to power off, take out the battery for a minute, and put it back in to get it to work again...and knock on wood...it is still working.

Weird... is your phone fully charged when this happens? I've only had that happen when my phone gets to 20% charge.. then the phone turns off.

I wonder if it is a 6.5 bug?

uncut1974, what are you running on your omnia? have either of you tried hard reset?

yes my phone is fully charged. It's not a 6.5 bug as it first happened to me on a 6.1 ROM. I flashed to 6.5 hoping to fix it. I think mine might be a hardware issue from flashing too many times in a row quickly on a warm day...may have overheated something...

NOt sure if this is the same thing that is happening to me as uncut, but my phone will go black after a certain amount of time (as set in power settings) and when I go to power it back on via power button or front d-pad nothing happens. I have to soft reset phone to get it back on. I am runing the official CF03 Rom. Getting very annoying. I have google maps, total commander, .net 3.5 and Sync client (for work email).

The solution is simple.....UNINSTALL VERIZON APPLICATION completly from your phone....you wont have anymore ramdoms shutt off

~I've had the same problem... the screen won't turn ON even after pressing the power button... I had to remove the battery or reset it with the button beside the power button...
