I tested several programs in my Omnia

Default: Media Album and Photo Slides

Resco Photo Viewer 2007 v6.33

HTC Album

Vito Eyephoto v1.1

SPB Imageer

and more...

The best for finger friendly for sure is the Vito EyePhoto. Nice style when you browse your pictures

The only problem in eyePhoto is take a time to load the next photo when you change for another one very quickly

The Default media player loads fast, but its not a finger friendly when you browse the pictures

Reso Explorer is a nice one aplication, but no finger friendly too

Photo Slide, SPB Imagger and HTC album I do not like

I sent an email to Vito asking about the solution of "take a time to load the next picture", because for me, EyePhoto is the Best application for Album photo for Omnia, very nice finger friendly

There“s other finger friendly Photo Album aplication around ?

Try PocketCM Image Viewer if you're minimalist and just want something simple that does the job. It's a pretty small program thats finger friendly. You can set favourites for the folders and theres kinetic scrolling too.

I've assigned it to my camera button and find it rather handy. hope it helps =)

I too am looking for a good photo app for the omnia... Jus like Broda, I've tried all the programs you've listed and none had it good like that. I'm jus looking for one which will allow me to slide to the next image in the same folder without taking too long to load (like Vito)

I'll give the PocketCM Image Viewer a try and see how it goes.

S2V is nice, but the zoom isn`t usefull and doesn`t change very quickly - I`m sticking with the Media Album, but S2V style (with the cache so it can load the images quickly) + HTC Album zoomin + Media Album change of pictures would be awesome :) Too bad it`s just a dream <_<

For me PocketCM is the best :

  • takes no memory
  • is very fast
  • uses full screen
  • favorites folder
  • and autorotation of screen full compatibility (not like S2V)

On official site you could find a forum regarding the program and there how to change the background to black.

VITO Eyephoto is very smooth and looks nice but i my Omnia creates the Albums 101SSCMA, 102SSCAM,.. etc. and i cant find them in the Huge list of Photo Albums since every Music Album has it's own Cover pic^^

Anyway to set Favourite folders in this prog like in PocketCM? And for me, Vito loads fast in Version 1.1, the pictures are parted in small quarters so its very fast to load the extract u like to see :D

Ps: Black background doesnt work for my PocketCM and white is awful for watching pictures, still using the Samsung Camera App for watching fotos: fast, all photos from all folders in one but stupid zoom^^

Vito is the best finger friendly, but its very slow to load the next picture when you change picture to picture using your finger. Loads slow too when you rotate your device

I think PocketCM is still the best of the bunch despite the unfortunate white background... it's true that black would be better but what can you do, it's still really fast and light.

Have tried many viewers but somehow i keep going back to the Samsung Media Album app, its fast, easy to use and finger friendly, you can slide between images in the same folder and it has easy tap to zoom functions.

The Chilli one looked nice too, might give it a try.

Kinoma Play also have a nice image viewer built in....

Just turned my PocketCM theme to black, it looks great!

Has anyone noticed though, in the iPhone Cover Flow-esque mode the thumbnails look really small? I went through the files but couldn't find an entry for it, anyone manage to make them a bit bigger to suite out resolution? Should be easy to do, I just couldn't find the corresponding line I think.
