Guest dwallersv Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 I seem to routinely need to adjust my power properties (change auto power off, backlight dimming, etc.) for various reasons, and it's a real PITA to have to bring up the power control panel, make the adjustments, then close it. It would be really nice to be able to place a shortcut on the desktop to make a group of changes with a single click. I can do this by figuring out the right registry keys and values to change, export to a .reg file, create a shortcut, then put that on my home screen. I wanted to check first, though, if there was an app out there that basically implemented power profiles similar to Vista. Too bad WkTask doesn't do this. It would be really nice to just bring up the WkTask menu with a press, and then select a profile from a cascading menu. Anyone know of anything along these lines? If not, I'll work up the .reg method and post an example here for others to customize and use themselves.
