Guest whiplash000 Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 (edited) So I'm trying to squeeze the best possible audio quality out of my Motorola HT820s (an older pair of Bluetooth headphones) and here's what I found out: The best settings (which can be configured with Advanced Configuration) are: -Joint Stereo -48000Hz The bitpool, when increased from default to, say 100 sounds slightly less terrible (by my audiophile standards anyway, I used Rage Against the Machine's Guerrilla Radio for reference). If I increase it to some ridiculously high number like 1024 (which is well beyond Bluetooth 1.2's transmission rate) there's no difference, but no skipping either. I also looked that music player for WM that streams the mp3 directly over Bluetooth, but it doesn't work. At all. Do the headphones have a maximum bitrate I'm hitting? I set all three bitpool settings to the same thing, so it should actually be streaming at just over 1024kbps... Anyone have any advice? Edited May 23, 2009 by whiplash000
Guest bulderhart Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Interesting! Where did you find this Advanced Configuration?
