I have a Windows Vista Home laptop that connects just fine using WMWifiRouter.

I have a CarPC that connects just fine to all other wireless networks, but cannot connect to the WMWifiRouter. It says it's acquiring an address, but then goes back to the screen showing not connected. Also the WMWifiRouter access point shows as an OnDemand connection in the Windows XP wireless manager, which I've never seen before.

Also, I have a Ubuntu 8 PC that tries to connect to the WMWifiRouter and never can; It does exactly the same as the CarPC.

The only thing I can think of is that I installed ActiveSync on the Vista Laptop but not the CarPC and of course not on Ubuntu. But I didn't think that would matter since the phone is doing all the work acting like a wireless router.

This all happens even when I turn the phone off and back on and try again.

Please help! Thanks!

New development: As long as my vista PC is connected to the WMWifiRouter, I can connect my Win XP machine, and it will stay connected. As soon as my Vista PC goes to sleep, the XP machine looses connection.

How weird is that?

Still having these weird conditions. However I have found out that I can tether the phone using the USB cable to any of my PCs, Win XP, Vista and even the Linux (Ubuntu 8.10), no problem.

I have tried getting a bridge to connect to WMWifiRouter, but it won't connect. It sees it, but cannot connect, so thus far, I can't do all my PCs on the net and on my network too... Sigh.
