Guest Tim-H Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Yes I've searched but every time this is brought up the thread is filled up with people saying to get a 3.5mm bluetooth dongle to plug into the cable. I don't want to do that, someone should be able to get this working i would think. When im riding my bike i put my phone in my seat bag. I like to listen to the radio. I don't like pandora, and streaming over the data connection kills the phone in under an hour. If I plug the fm antenna into the phone without heaphones in it I can turn on the phone speaker and it plays clearly. What I would like to do is stuff my phone into my seat bag with the antenna attatched and get the sound to come over bluetooth. Please don't post up the "get a 3.5mm dongle and plug it into the antenna cable" I know this is an option but there has to be a way to enable the sound to transmit with the phones bluetooth transmitter. Cooks, programmers, anyone please find a solution. <_< I'd be happy to donate if a solution is found, and im sure there are quite a few other people that would too.
Guest chokia Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Depends on what Bluetooth stereo headset that you are using. If it is already dangling with cables (not so wireless) then get a 3.5mm dongle and plug it into the antenna cable (lol sorry). Or throw that dangling bluetooth stereo headset of yours especially if it is sony ericsson brand in the dustbin and choose Nokia range of stereo bluetooth headset that come with FM radio tuner built in like BH903. But if you're fully understand the concept of Bluetooth of being true wireless and using something like motorola s9, then i dont have solution for you.
Guest 3shirts Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I agree with the OP. There seems to be no good reason why you can't transmit radio over bluetooth when you can do so with any other sound that comes out of your phone! I get that the headphones are the antenna but like the Tim-H says, if you have them plugged in and tucked in a bag, why can't you get sound over BT?!

I get that the headphones are the antenna but like the Tim-H says, if you have them plugged in and tucked in a bag, why can't you get sound over BT?! The reason is that the tuner directly outputs analog audio that is mixed with the outer (digital) audio sources coming from the phone. To output the audio to the BT the ony way is to sample the audio coming from the tuner chip (like recording to SD) and play the digital data via the WAV device.

Guest somedude Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 i know of a solution. the only problem is that you will have to stream the radio(which drains the battery quicker) with kimona player, you are able to stream just about every radio station in the US. Even AM stations. I highly recommend it. Ive been listening to new york radio stations, internet radio stations, my hometown radio stations(chicago). Its pretty neat.
Guest thericksonebay Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 This is great i can finally help someone. If you will go to freewarepocketpc.net and the app is ACBTOGGLE it transfers everything from your speaker to bluetooth and the great thing is you dont even have to have stereo bluetooth or a2dp it will transfer to a regular bluetooth headset
