Guest Persia Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 i saw new touch player version on samsung mobile the Philippines website it has onscreen buttons while playing video files (yes full screen with onscreen buttons) please someone tell me is this from a new rom? or can i have it with registry settings?!!!! or manually update.... it's very cool and the same new OMNIA HD

Guest HellboyMC Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 We need a new / tweaked touch player imo, the thing i hate the most is that there's no scroll bar at touch player when you're searching in all music, always picking the wrong song <_< Why couldn't only samsung make a good player...other phones all have a player that is entirely touch friendly (touch player has it all except the bar where u pick the time u want to play) you can have buttons for everything appear during the time u play the movie on screen and disappears after few seconds, here u have to tap the screen, do what u want and then go back, not to mention it only plays divx 5 well, anything above is slow and doesn't work properly, while other phones don't have the problem with that. Not to mention the lack of options. Probably the worst player i've seen so far. I'm using core player, it's great, except u can't play AC3 sound and it's quite ugly. I hope something good will be released someday.

Guest Rooster Misfit Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 exactly. you do know they don't use real pictures for ads like this? its just a mockup to make it look more exciting. yeah its just to be eye catching... they wouldnt be advertising the omnia any more since the omnia hd is out, and from what i remeber the HD doesnt look like the normal omnia and that is a normal omnia in the picture... so my guess that is a concept advertisement that either wasnt seen much or not used at all and it just leaked its way out...

Guest Rooster Misfit Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 but maybe be the new rom for there? or the future rom!!! nah the omnia has been out long enough that samsung isnt gonna take time to advertise it since the the HD is the newest version... they will focus their efforts on the newest most up to date phone not something they have already passed... dont get mewrong they are still gonna do updates and stuff but they arent gonna do anything for advertising it. the only way i can see them doing lots of advertisements for is the american version since we wont get the HD till probably a year after europe
