WiFi Problem. Can't turn it on.

Hello.

I have a samsung omnia which suddenly froze and now it's wifi doesn't work.

I have tried different ROMS and whit none I can manage to turn it on.

If I click on turn on WiFi, it starts doing it but after hours it never turns on and the "processin/wait" icon never stops.

Is there a way to fix it?

How can I send it for warranty repair?

I'm in México.

It was bought in the USA, but I believe it's from overseas.

Try this wififix reg file, import it with your favorite registry editor. Hope it'll help.

Registry resets with each hard reset I believe, so It would had been fixed for that matter.

Hi.

Can some one walk me through?

I did this.

Right Click, save as...

Changed extension to .reg

Opened CeRegestryEditor 0.0.4.4

Connect (F1)

Edit/import

Selected the File

"Seems as a PC reg file, continue?" -"yes"

But after I try to import WAP settings I get "Access is denied", "Import Aborted"

Please help <_<

I have exactly the same problem with WIFI on my Omnia. Not sure whether it was a crash or hang that caused it, but after 5 different rom updates, WIFI still refuses to see any networks and states everything is "Unavailable".

I've given up for now as no one else seems to have this problem so there is little or no info about how to correct it, if it can be corrected.

I've tried everything w/ the settings, reg file, etc., to no avail. Then I flashed a different rom and lo and behold, the wifi started working again! Don't understand why, but it's working!

I'd like to know which rom this was too. Going on holiday soon so going to disable my 3g connection, but would be nice to have wifi working again if possible.
