Guest Lisbian08 Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 I am running CC20 with blazingwolf WM6.1 MS3 ROM on both my wife and I's omnias. I was trying to to send her a file via bluetooth and got a "Cannot connect to the OBEX device. It is either not accessible or does not support the selected service." I have push files back and forth between the two devices with the original ROM many times without incident. I have checked the following two registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Obex "IsEnabled"=dword:00000001 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Obex "IsEnabled"=dword:00000001 I believe these are both correct, as well as Advanced config setting bluetooth for OBEX is enabled (default) on both phones. If anyone knows what else I could check or if something above is incorrect, it would be much appreciated. I know it is probably something simple I have overlooked.

I talked with Adrynalyne about this not to long ago. It seems the IRDA drivers need to be included also to have OBEX work. I have no idea why as IRDA has nothing to do with bluetooth but I will put them back in and see if that fixes the issue. I will also see if I can get just the dlls for you so that you can put them in the windows folder. Not sure if this will fix everything for you but we can try.

I appreciate your quick response, and will keep an eye out for those dlls. I would have never guessed that. My wife and I have really enjoyed your ROM. We appreciate all the hard work that you and Adrynalyne and all the others do for us.

I believe that I have it setup correctly. Please install to device. Thanks.BW_Bluetooth_OBEX_Fix.cab

Worked great. Installed to both phones (device), and did soft reset on both. Now I have OBEX back. Thanks again.

What advantage would flashing your 6.5 ROM have over the current ROM I am using. With MS3 installed, the honeycomb menus addition would be a minimal gain in my opinion. I am not sure what else is the 6.5 release has in it.

I like the new menus, which are more finger friendly, and Titanium. Since you use MS3 you might not benefit a whole lot. You could always flash to 6.5 and try it. If you don't like it the you can flash back. Up to you of course. <_<
Guest Adrynalyne Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 The OBEX File Transfer needs IRDA... Yes, we established this <_<
