My first Omnia (Replaced because of damaged backlight) had a black battery, but my replacement (They swapped the entire unit) has a blue battery with grey border. It's a 3.7 Li-ion. Both are US Verizon, both were from the same store. I haven't notice any difference really... They both last(ed) extremely long compared to my HTC 6800.

1400 mAh on both.

how strange..

do you suppose it means when has the newer touchpanel?

or something along those lines?

No it just means that they either ran out of black plastic or they like the color blue more. Another option is that they changed the manufacturing line and this one makes blue batteries. Edited by bpivk

well thats what im saying. it may be telling of whehter or not the phone is newer or old.

if black batteries came out with the phones release and than they changed manufacturers and blue batteries came out this quarter, than it is possible that this may be a way to know if youre phone has things like the new or old touch panel.
