Guest terryr97 Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 I've finally figured out how to remap my right softkey! I've looked everywhere (unless someone already posted this, in which case I've looked almost everywhere) and couldn't come up with how to do this without installing some other program, which I didn't wanna do. So, for my i910, here goes: Using Total Commander registry editor, I went to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\keys\113\ Change the "Open" to the location of the file you want to open (I used \Windows\tmail.exe) Change the Default to what you want it to say (I used Messengers) There ya go! Hope this is useful to someone, considering how useful this site has been to me. <_< I haven't figured out how to remap the left key, but I wasn't looking to anyway. I'll search on in my registry and update when I find it.

Guest terryr97 Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Like I said, I didn't want to install another program to do something so simple. Thanks tho. <_<
Guest kav Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 unless u are looking to learn things from ur registry, what u did is absolutely a waste of time. keyswop is a very small app, and it makes this things very easy as mapping the soft keys. the space it takes is almost negligible. if i were u i wouldnt waste my time with such things, just use the app, but if u are into having more experience with the registry, then good luck.
Guest FerdiBorbon Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 (edited) how do i change the left one?? nEVERMIND I JUST READ THE SECOND POST LOL Edited June 12, 2009 by FerdiBorbon
Guest Blobs Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 I'd hardly call fiddling with the registry a simple task, especially for such a simple requirement. Softkey manager is just so good for this, and yes, you can remap the left key in seconds.
