Heres the deal:

I was using Wozzer's 6.5 rom.

No issues, the gps was working just fine.

The last couple of things i remember doing, was installing and using Google Navigator and downloading and installing a update for Microsoft Myphone.

Now all of a sudden, i cant get a gps lock, and google maps cannot even detect the gps receiver!!!(No GPS receiver was found)

And yes, My gps settings are set to COM 8 and Baud rate of 57600. I never changed them!

I dont know what happened! Maybe that stupid Google Navigator did something with the gps settings?

What can i do?

well simple troubleshooting would be to tell you to uninstall those 2 programs (and rollback any other changes u may have done) then see if it works again. at that point, if its working, go through and put things back to how they are now, one by one, testing the GPS in between each thing.

That was one of the first things i did. No luck. GPS Receiver cannot be detected by any of my GPS applications.

Microsoft Myphone messed up my WMWIFIrouter. in the end i used it as an excuse to upgrade to woZZer's lite.

I dont know what happened, and i didnt feel like playing detective and trying to back track everything i did in the last two days.

I've had the same sort of "doesn't work inexplicably" problem with A2DP on my phone. Headset would connect, show that it supported both Handsfree and Wireless Stereo profiles, but only would operate as Handsfree -- would not connect for wireless stereo, no matter what I did (delete BT device, rediscover and pair, still no joy).

Only way to get it back was to restore a full backup where it was oast working, or hard reset.

So, I've taken to carefully rebuilding my configuration, testing critical functionality like A2DP and GPS a long the way after each app install or tweak to the phone, then, when it was fully rebuilt, I snapshot a baseline image with SPB Backup, leaving out the messaging data.

I then do a daily full backup.

In this way, if something goes wrong again that I have been testing as I change the phone, I can get back pretty quickly to a working config. If I install new software, I test and then create a new baseline snapshot.

Of course, this strategy doesn't help for something that wasn't tested along the way, which you'll see in another thread I just posted <_<

Same here and I'm on 6.1 WOZZER Lite.

One day GPS stopped. And I haven't installed anything in a while. Neither my iGO amigo or Google maps can detect the GPS. Where can i find gpstest.exe? I've been looking but can't seem to find it.

I really don't want to do a hard reset.
