Guest Sasimikun Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 I've traded my Diamond for an Omnia and flashed a new rom on it, but I'm really missing the HTC USB connection manager, or whatever it's called. It's that thing that pop-ups whenever one plugs the USB in. Then it'll ask if you want to establish an Active Sync connection or use the device as Mass Storage. Right now, I have to change it everytime in settings, which is just plain stupid. So anybody have the cab to share?
Guest illusion786 Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) Erm im sure there is a similar usb manager in settings > connections where you can assign the connection mode. I know cause i have it my rom. sshot000.bmpsshot001.bmp Edited June 1, 2009 by illusion786
Guest maf107ezk0 Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Yes, but with HTC you get to choose every time you connect the USB port... The only thing I can think of is to use the Favourite settings - there is an icon for USB - when it is active the phone is into Mass storage and when it`s not highlighted it`s in ActiveSync mode <_<

Guest jonboyuk Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Sasimikun - I tried the HTC cab for this and it doesn't work with the Omnia. In fact, it screwed up my active sync and I had to hard-reset. Someone would need to write an Omnia-specific app.
Guest lastnikita Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 I guess it is feasible, you need to launch the config panel directly upon usb connection, using system events..
