What's M2D or SPB Mobile Shell 3?

Okay, I'm very new to flashing my phone and what not. I flashed the Wozzers Rom with the M2D version. However I have no clue what M2D is?? When I asked about it in his thread a lot of people said get his Lite version and install SPB Mobile Shell 3 since it's more finger friendly....?

What exactly are the 2? What is their purpose? What do they do? (Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I can't find an answer) Oh and where can I find SPB Mobile Shell 3?

M2d or Manila 2d is the touchflo interface from HTC phone that has been ported to various windows mobile phones. It is an interface only. The same can be said for Mobile shell 3.0. It is another interface available from SPB softwarehouse. One major difference is that M2d is shareware (free) and SPB mobile shell is 29.95. That might influence your decision. I have used both, and they are both good and better than using Windows Mobile 6.1. Other choices you have is installing a Windows 6.5 ROM that has a newer interface, and the only other one that I know of is WAD (Wisbar advanced desktop). I believe WAD has a fee as well, but I am not sure as I have not used that one. I'm sure everyone will have an opinion on this. Find what works best for you and go with it. You should be able to search these forums and on google etc to find out more info and screenshots of the various interfaces.

Goto Start>Settings>Today>Items(thebottomflag) and uncheck Titanium/Windows Default (it may show as one or the other) and select TouchFLO.

You will then be set with M2D (TouchFLO)

I myself use M2D because it is an easy UI and even my fiance can understand it. There are a LOT of skins out there for it. I used a modified Wasted Paper theme for mine.
