And its an SDK, why WOULDN'T they support all screen resolutions? We can hope, but i'm pretty sure most of us will expect to never get an official 6.5 ROM for the Omnia, especially us with Verizon heh.

Motorola MOTOSURF A3100 uses WQVGA, LG Incite also use WQVGA...... maybe you need to read more....
Guest Billus Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Motorola MOTOSURF A3100 uses WQVGA, LG Incite also use WQVGA...... maybe you need to read more.... So that's 3 Window Mobile phone that use it. Ya never know, especially since our Omnia is the cover phone on the Windows Mobile homepage. I'm sure that Samsung will whip up us a 6.5 rom. Even if they don't, there are still plenty of custom 6.5 roms floating around. Only reason I'm avoiding 6.5 is because I love using the d-pad as a mouse and some of samsung's own apps. So I just use 6.1 with Home2 PointUI pro which does and excellent job covering up 6.1. In my opinion it's much better than SPB Mobile Shell.
Guest Adrynalyne Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Wow, you guys are taking a huge leap with the assumptions here. Do you think that there won't be anymore WQVGA phones in the future? I seriously doubt the SDK is for the current batch of phones.

I seriously doubt the SDK is for the current batch of phones. I highly doubt there will be more, at least from major phone manafacturers like HTC, Samsung etc, to make more WQVGA phones especially since WVGA is taking off so well. Perhaps there will be phones from Glofish or whatever making WQVGA to save costs or what not. WQVGA has proven to be a not so popular screen format with manafacturers and consumers. (Yes major claim I know but how often to we spend envying a higher res screen?) Off topic, the S-Class UI looks real nice (LG WQVGA phone - LG GM730). Much better then touchwiz ui.
