I am considering buying a Windows Mobile phone and the forerunner at the moment is the Omnia.

I've never owned such a phone before, so need to know if the phone can be switched off at night,

as I don't want to receive any calls or texts, but still wake me up with an alarm.

I see there is something called a 'sleep mode', would this do what I want, or is there another way?

Many thanks.

Mark

Yes you can put Omnia on "flight mode". That's what I do every night.

Welcome aboard m8! <_<

Or with phonealarm, you can set up various profiles to your liking. I set up a night mode, where emails won't activate the alarm, but phone calls will. Eminently configurable.

It looks like flight mode is the way forward.

Thanks for all your help, everybody.
