- select network; Internet (I HAVE NO NETWORKS)

- ok and get out

2. Connections

- Advanced tab

- Select which networks are automatically used > click Select Networks > select [My Work Network] in first dropdown list. (I HAVE NO NETWORKS)

- ok and get out

3. Wi-Fi

- Add New - this should find your local wi-fi network

- click the local network > for Coonects to, select "Work" from the dropdown list > uncheck for This is a hidden network > Next tab at bottom (I HAVE NO NETWORKS)

- select Authentication and Data Encryption for your local network you set up > Network key: is usually provided automatically > Next tab

- check Use IEEE 802.1x .... > Finish tab

The usual culprit in this situation is that you actually have no network or your wifi is turned off on your phone. But I'm guessing that you have turned wifi on in the wireless manager of your phone and you can connect through a wireless connection on your computer to your router (not wireless based internet service, an actual router) so I doubt that's the issue.

Try installing a free 3rd party wifi tracker and use that to do a site survey. If that fails and you are sure your settings are fine, then your antenna in your phone may be damaged or on of the drivers may be corrupt. In either case I would suggest sending the phone to Samsung.

Your settings definitely get deleted with hard reset.

Your can't technically get them back, but you can re-enter them.

touch the top right area of your phone (near 3g/H/edge symbol), then touch "wireless manager", then make sure wifi is "on", once it is you should receive a notification about the wireless networks in the area. Select your network then click connect. If you have a password on your wireless network it will ask you for the password. Type in the password, select "save password" then click connect.

hope that helps.
