Guest camz Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 It's normal to have restarts after you have a ROM update. It restarts twice. <_<
Guest sufgi123 Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 It restarts a lot of times It still not work
Guest Bulldogs Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Try charging your phone for 2 hours, then Hard reset, if that fails, "flush" again
Guest sufgi123 Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Very weird ... The problem solved only with the official rom dxia5 After that I tried to flash an older non official rom that worked for me , but now with all the non official roms , the omnia does reboots. any ideas ?
Guest pindar Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 where did you get the offical rom? i need it mine is doing the same thing
Guest sufgi123 Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/omnia/index.jsp 1. Flash an older non official rom then dxia5 2. Flash the official rom dxia5 note: the official rom needs the omnia to sync with the computer - you have about 2 sec that the omnia is sync with the computer , and after that the omnia will do the reboot . you need to be fast and aprrove the flash. good luck sorry for the bad english ....
Guest Kaim_B Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 ive got this problem too every time i flash my Omnia the phone restart it self a lot of times you have to pass the first setings quickly if you do thet every thing will be find <_<
Guest Bulldogs Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 I may be wrong, but to me it sounds like an autorun problem. Try a complete hard reset, including wiping out your "my storage". When you install a custom ROM it restarts your omnia during setup. This is because of an autorun program. If you have another program trying to autorun it could be conflicting with the custom ROM. Autorun programs on your "My storage" are usually under a directory of numbers (1874, 2354, etc), a lot of Navigation Software installs autorun directories so that when you reset it auto-installs itself. Best bet is to do a complete hard reset before flashing, that said, when installing an official ROM it should hard reset your whole device, so after the official ROM, attempt to flash a custom ROM without installing anything else on your device. Hope this helps. BTW, if that's not the issue then the only other thing I could think of is faulty hardware or a problem with your SIM, could just be that the custom ROM doesn't have data for your carrier and is trying to load the wrong data. Try starting your phone without your SIM card and without any extra memory cards and see what happens.
Guest KSTAN Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 You can follow the instructions at Incorrect software version to reflash the ROM to official ROM. Hope this helps... <_<
Guest deeper_meaning Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Hi .. same problem here. Did the same flash. Flashed back to several other non-official ROM, but nothing helped. Keeps going to alignment and then saying needs to restart for preconfiguration.

Guest Bulldogs Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Hi sufgi123 .. please .. tell me step by step what you did. I still didnt manage to solve the problem. It keeps saying Incorrect Software when trying to start flashing with official ROM Goto the ROMs forum (top of this forum) and look for "incorrect software version", follow the instructions there.... or just look several posts up.
Guest sufgi123 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 I explained to deeper_meaning in private message . deeper_meaning please post my answer .
Guest deeper_meaning Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Hi, You need an official flash to solved it. The official rom now is DXIA5 . You can flash only if you have an older version on your omnia , There for you need to flash any older version (flash non official rom because the non official rom doesnt need the omnia to be sync with your PC). After you flash it , you need to flash the official you . check that your bettery is full and then open the exe file of the official rom. you need to check the lower box (the battery is full) , and then wait the omnia to be sync with your pc. you have about 2 sec between the sync and the reboot of the omnia . Is this 2 sec you need to checl the upper box and press to botton to flash. Good luck Inform me if you success. For me, sufgi123 method didn't work. However, I found another solution: Use the Grandprix method to flash my Omnia to the old Portugese ROM. It then stopped restarting for preconfiguration and started into WinMo. Edited the phone to Singapore and finally, I could flash it with the latest official Singapore ROM.
Guest nvn2005 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 I ran into the same issue after flashed the DXIA5 mod version. I cannot get my phone to sync to PC because it restart itself when booted to the screen calibration. Is there any way to breaks the restarting loop? Thanks,
Guest Ice Man Posted June 24, 2009 Report Posted June 24, 2009 I ran into the same issue after flashed the DXIA5 mod version. I cannot get my phone to sync to PC because it restart itself when booted to the screen calibration. Is there any way to breaks the restarting loop? Thanks, OK Chaps & Chapets This is what to do, as seems to bea an issue with Omnia branded handsets and the phone part of DXID1 so first flash with DXID1 then use the DXIA2 from secanys rapidshare rom page, this one is in Granprix format i.e individual PDA,CSC,Phone not .exe file you'll need a copy of Grandprix too you can get this from his page too i beleive, right once all downloaded run Grandprix select only dropdown in menue and just add the Phone.bin Only from secany dowload, make sure omnia is connected using XP, press detect, then reset pin on Omnia once GP says connected devices = 1 then hit start, and wait, will pre config once when done then reboot, once in OS Granprix will say done and you should end up with a working PDA/CSC = DXID1 & Phone = DXIA2. Job Done :D
