Guest basketerke Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Hello everybody, Since i bought my omnia i900 i'm a very happy user. But also from the very beginning , it was impossible to connect to my home-network. I have the right code and all the setting where right , i seached on a lot of forums about WEP and so on and i tried everything. Now when i go on a free netwerk (hotspot or something like that) i don't have any problems connecting ! Also where i go to college we get free wifi internet from the school and also with a code and i never had problems connecting ! Now i noticed on a forum it mite be because of my rooter , but what do i do about it ? I also tested it with an other home network (from my grandfather) again with the right code and it also didn't work ... Suggestions ? Greetings Basketerke

Guest kav Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 i cant really recall the post, but the main thing is u have to try the channel on which the router is giving out to the omnia, and it could also be an incompatibility issue. i had the same problem, i had wep security enabled on my router and it was working fine, just that one day it stopped it kept asking me for the key all the time, even i put in the correct one. then after some softresets, i found that it was with my computer and router the problem was comnig from. few restarts there and few mods in the router settings, and it was back again. the broadcasting channel from the omnia is channle 11, 12, 13, 5. these are the prefered ones.

I've tried 11, 12, 13 and 5 and still no connection , maybe there are some settings wrong on my cell phone ? Can you tell me your settings ? Then i can compare ... Grts
Guest thescope Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 What WiFi Router are you using? can you access the settings of the Router (sometimes 192.168.0.1)?
