Hi all, I have d/loaded Pocket Shield the trial version and while everything seems to work ok the one problem I am having is when I try to change the theme it comes up with an error message?

Is this because of the trial version and if I do buy the full copy will the theme be able to be changed?

I am still up in the air about whether to purchase this app but there must be something I did wrong when installing the software?

Any help would be appreciated thanks Brendan

What error message? Something about the internet connection? If that's the case, you need to be connected to the internet (duh).

The error message is:

An unexpected error has occurred in pckshdControler.exe.

Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information.

An error message is available for this exception but cannot be displayed because these messages are optional and are not currently installed on this device.

Please install NetCFv35.Messages.EN.wm.cab for Windows Mobile 5.0 and above or NetCFv35.Messages.EN.cab for other platforms.

Restart the application to see the message.

So should I find the cab and install or not?

Thanks Brendan

Do you have a HTC emulator enabled? If yes then you have to remove it or create blank files for PS to work. Or you'll get crashes because of the light sensor.

Arr the only thing I did have was the HTC X-Button 1.5 but I uninstalled this program or so I thought, when I go to remove programs it is still in the list so I try and remove it again and it comes up with "HTC X-Button 1.5 was not completely romoved. Do you want to remove it fron the list of installed programs?" so I press yes and after that it still displays in the list of programs?

Not sure if this program has got anything to do with it or not?

Thanks for your help Brendan

No. It doesn't have. What rom do you have? Because a lot of cookers have the emulator cooked in.

Did you install netCF 3.5 because the stock rom uses netCF 2.0. You can get the new version on the page where you downloaded PocketShield.
