Hi All.

The Omnia once sending an sms puts a copy into the sent items folder as well as the inbox.

THis is really irritating.

Anyone know how to fix this?

THanks

Go into the options and make sure "Save copy of sent items in sent folder" is checked...

Hey buddy.

THanks for the reply, sorry what I meant to say is it does go into the sent items but it also saves a copy in the inbox.

Now why would I want a copy of sent messages in my inbox where I recieve messages?

Is this a bug?

Are there any fixes? It does it on my brothers omnia too.

THanks

Hi Dude,

This is simple, if you ever used Outlook from Office it works the same.

1. You recive a new Email/SMS in to the Inbox.

2. You Reply or Forward the Email/SMS it gets sent to the Sent Items folder with what you added to the Email/SMS.

and it keep the Original Email/SMS in the Inbox.

3. You can Delete the Inbox Email/SMS and the Sent Items Email/SMS

this is normal...

So What you telling me is when you are in Outlook and write a new mail message and send it, it put's a copy in the inbox and sent items.

I don't think so my friend.

I can understand if I am replying to an existing sms or email but not a new one. It has to be a bug on the phone.

Anyone have any idea's to fix this?

Do you have conversation mode on? That will show your received and sent messages in the thread.

To turn that off, go to system settings and then go into Text Message, and turn conversation mode to off.

These are threaded messages. You can turn it off by downloading one CAB that can be found here in this forum. There is no "off" option on the stock settings of the phone. Click here for the CAB made by Paul of MoDaCo, post #7.

Hope this helps
