Guest kav Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 yeah total blackness. i havnt done anything to harm it though. just let it go flat when and where did u buy the omnia?
Guest kirsty7 Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 when and where did u buy the omnia? errmmm bout january 20th i think from the optus shop in coffs harbour (if you know where that is). is there any way i can fix it?
Guest Doc007 Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 im not sure if you tried this already but u might be able to fix it by doing a soft-reset or by pulling out the battery. good luck!
Guest Tim-H Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 If doing the soft reset (poking the stylus into the hole next to the power button) or pulling the battery doesnt work, it sounds like the LCD died, or came loose from the board at least. I would go back to the shop and see if they can do anything for you as far as repair or replacement. If they wont help, try to get in contact with Samsung directly. Sounds like the digitizer is working and the phone is running, just no image.
Guest kav Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 errmmm bout january 20th i think from the optus shop in coffs harbour (if you know where that is). is there any way i can fix it? :D, i dont know where that would be.... my question was when, which u answered and the where was actually meant by from a operator dealer, or local shop selling unbranded omnias, or from an online retailer.. sorry if i didnt make my question clear... anyways, it seems like the screen got disconnected, since u mentioned that it is totally black (like as if it is off). u bought the omnia abt 5 months ago, so it is still covered be the 1 year warranty offered by samsung. just bring it back to the shop and they will replace it for u. if u have stored data on the omnia that u wish to recover before u bring the omnia for repair, or replacement, remember to connect it to ur computer and tranfer all the required information.
