Hi,

I am a new omnia user. when I open two programs like ebook reader and dictionary, one of them closes automatically with in few seconds. I am wondering is that the capacity of omnia to run only one program at any point of time. My earlier phone TytnII used to run more than five applications at the same time, that too with less speed processer and with the same memory of omnia. will some one help me to get clarified on how many programs will run in omnia simultaneously.

i have had up to personally 6 running at one time... you have to make sure you are not closing one when you are opening the other... like say taping the X button.... you need to make it where the X button does not close the programs with a tap...

WKtask and HTC task manager can help you with this

i just had 9 apps open on mine, and it seemed not to bog it down too badly. word, excel, powerpoint, skyfire, rcmod, calender, audiomanager, wmp, tasks

Some programs will close automatically when you hit the X whether its set up like that or not. An easy way to get them to stay open is just to tap the start menu and open the new program from there, then to switch between just do the finger slide from the bottom of the screen to bring up the running programs.

I've found that the SPB shell closes most (not all) apps when I press the X button. Handy :D

Thanks friends, for all your replies. I am using wktask and selected 'not to close with x button' for a particular program. But it disappears from the screen. I do not know whether it is my omnia is doing this funny thing. I will try with what Tim-H has said and report.
