Guest dwallersv Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) 'Been looking for this for a long time... A way to direct audio to the speaker/wired output vs. BT stereo. Found it! Called A2DPToggle, it's a today plugin that lets you turn A2DP output on and off. So, with BT Stereo headset paired and connected, with this little app you disable audio output to BT, directing it back to the speaker, and back to BT at will. Works dynamically while an audio source os playing... no need to kill the media app playing after a change to the output device and restart -- which is what you have to do if you use the more crude method of turning BT off to accomplish the same. Also, it affects only A2DP, not the phone/handsfree profile. This is really what was driving my search for this -- the ability to use the wired stereo output to connect to my car stereo through a cassette adapter, and still use my BT headset for phone calls. This was impossible before I found this app. Finally, and mention this with great caution because I've been burned before thinking I had a solution to this, but (drum roll...) this app seems to have fixed the SRS/WOW suspend crash problem (WHAT?!?!?!? YOU"RE JOKING, RIGHT?) All I can say is that since I installed this, I have my Omnia suspending in all sorts of ways -- manually via the power button, automatically by S2U2, and automatically through the Power cpl. Hasn't failed to wake up yet. Not once. It's only been half a day, so I'm far from convinced. Still, the results so far are very encouraging. I can say that without this app, it would have locked up many times by now under these conditions. Anyway, here's the link. Setting aside the possible (finally!) solution to the SRS/WOW issue, the functionality the app was designed for is, IMO critical and essential. This sort of capability always should have simply been part of the basic BT operation in WM6. Get it here. Edited June 11, 2009 by dwallersv
Guest eufouria Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 I'm guessing you've texted? That seems to have been the problem with the SRS for a number of users from what I read.
