Hey guy,

For the last few weeks my phone keeps freezing up when it goes to sleep mode... i can turn the screen back on sometimes but then the screen doesnt work, none of the buttons work. So i do a soft reset and its back to normal. If say i fall asleep and this happens the battery is drained by the time i wake up and well... my phone is my alarm and i cant be late for work.

I think this is the problem but not sure...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemGDIGLYPHCACHE]

"limit"=dword:00008000

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemStorageManagerFATFS]

"CacheSize"=dword:00001000

"Flags"=dword:00000044

"CacheDll"="diskcache.dll"

"Util"="fatutil.dll"

"EnableCache"=dword:00000001

"Paging"=dword:00000001

"Dll"="fatfsd.dll"

"FriendlyName"="FAT FileSys

Does anyone know the default settings to these two? Can anyone open up their reg and check please... my ROM is cooked.

I see two differences.

First, do you know you are showing binary values and my reg editors show decimal values. 8000=8192, 44=68, etc. I think this is all ok.

The two differences are:

CacheSize: I have 4092 decimal (00004000 for binary) instead of your binary 00001000

"FriendlyName"="FAT FileSystem" for me (no quotes)

(Maybe you just dropped the last characters.)

So all doesn't look too far off.

It sort of happened to me too, in my case the phone simply locked up, can't press anything to get the screen back on, have to take the battery out to reboot again. This happens at least once a day for me... i still have no idea what causes it, I switched between different ROMs, the problem still there.

In my case Cache size is 1024 in decimal instead, i changed it to 4092 like ronaldb3 suggested, I'll see if it helps any.

I don't know how much this will help, but I've recently upgraded to a clean DXIA5 rom, and thought in my ultimate stupidity that I'd play with the power settings too (once a tweaker, always a tweaker). I checked the Power Save mode option under power management (2nd last tab), and it would seem that this caused the issue. After reading through many forums to no avail, I backtracked and unchecked the setting, and everything seems fine now! I can lock with the SPB app, lock by pressing and holding the End key, and sleep the PPC with the power button.

I just hope that this fix will help a few others.
