Critically low storage memory

I have an 8gig i900 with an 8 gig storage card in it. I have installed spb, spbskins and s2u2, kinoma. All of which I have selected to save to memory card yet they still save to the actual device. As a result I keep getting a low memory warning. What can I do to sort this out?

Flash to a lite or ultralite custom ROM. I use Khuanchai's ultralite with 147mb free for the device memory after a fresh install.

OK sounds good. Where would I go about getting that from and how easy is it to fiddle with and customize? I liked spb coz the skins programme made it easy to change the look and I'm not exactly a techno wizard.
