Loose Widget

Hi. I have this annoying 'empty' widget which appears on my Omnia's screen form time to time. When you click on it it does nothing and to get it off my screen I have to move it to my widgets sidebar.

It is a grey rectangular box and in the centre of the box is another smaller box with an exclamation mark inside with a strikethrough.

Any help would be appreciated because I have tried all sorts to resolve it.

This is the notification widget. It tells you if you have any new text messages, mms, emails, voicemails, or missed calls. It, by default, will show up under any of those conditions when using the widget interface, but if normally in the dock, and not on the screen, it will disappear when the issue us tesolved (listening to the voicemail, viewing the text message, missed call, mms, email, etc.). This is the only real way of getting rid of it, because it is programmed to stay as long as there is something in need of your attention. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Nate, however, it appears when there are absolutely no notifications. When there is an sms, etc. it does provide that info within the notification widget but the one I get displayed on my screen from time to time does nothing at all and there is no active sms, etc.
