Guest R10T Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 I have a verizon i910. Cooked rom from wozzer (wm 6.1) and for some reason now my incoming calls are not ringing. I get all the other notices email, vmail, and such but no incoming call ring. Heck it even tells me when i missed a call. I checked the profiler in shell 3 and in the phone settings. Everything points to a sound and plays when you push the play button for the sample. If I can;t figure this out it looks like i'll have to re-flash again. A shame cuz I finally had it set just the way I like it.
Guest cliffordvines Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 The following Registry Change fixed this volume issue for me. HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\AttenuationCategory Change value to 1 You need to use a registry editor like Resco Explorer or like CeRegEditor, to make this change. After the change, wait 20 seconds and then do a soft reboot. Other settings for this value are: 0 is no ringtone volume 1 is flat ringtone volume 2 is increasing ringtone volume

Guest Eschelon Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Bump.... I've looked everywhere i can think of on here even showed system, and hidden files...still cannot find the registry values.... You need the Resco Registry add-in, not just Resco explorer. ...Or you can use this free registry editor: http://www.phm.lu/products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
Guest R10T Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 still no ring..is there anything else i can check?
Guest cliffordvines Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 still no ring..is there anything else i can check? Have you double checked the system Volume and the ring volume setting again that both are at max. Also, switch to a standard loud ringtone. Then, do not load another program that controls volume (i.e. iGO8) Set the registry setting to 1 as noted above and reboot. Then call the Omnia to check the ring volume Report back with results/findings/status Cliff
Guest Lisbian08 Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 still no ring..is there anything else i can check? Double check that the ringtones you have selected are in the ringtone folder on My device or My storage. MS3 allows you to select ringtones from anywhere on your phone, but the omnia will only ring if the ringtones are in that folder.
Guest R10T Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 (edited) this was from another post a lil while ago: 1) Put the phone on silence (no sound and no vibrate) 2) Call yourself with another phone 3) When it is calling, you must press on the speaker icon and volume up to the max. possible. 4) The next someone call you, it will ring. You can test it calling yourself again. it worked good. it doesn't work when you change it during the first call but like it says the next time you call it works fine. I guess i'm not the only one with this issue, perhaps one of the cooks could look into the volume controls and see what might be causing this issue. EDIT: Oh and for this issue editing the registry didn't resolve the issue just the volume trick. Edited June 20, 2009 by R10T
