Guest Turborepu Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 checkout the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=525578 works on my i910, the zoomstatus prog has to be enabled as today plugin. so it doesnt seem to work with titanium. the taskmanager is better than the samsung taskswitcher. both items seem skinnable, look in the install folders for the images.
Guest jason07 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) ZoomStatus works perfectly. I'm using SPB 3, and I just chose ZoomStatus as the only option in the Today screen settings. By default, SPB continues to work, and now I have the awesome new taskbar functionality. Will upload screenshots shortly EDIT: Ok here's some screenshots. Home screen with SPB, and when a program is running... I've also attached the CAB file for it. Thanks to the guys over at XDA-dev where I got this from.PREI_ZoomStatus.CAB Edited June 16, 2009 by jason07
Guest jason07 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Here's a screen shot of the Acer task manager too... Edit: After soft reset, the 2 programs sync themselves... hitting the task button in ZoomStatus brings up the cool new Acer Task Manager.PREI_TaskManager.CAB Edited June 16, 2009 by jason07
Guest Mr. B! Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 i like the taskmanager. is there a way to assign it to the menu button?
Guest Adrynalyne Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 They work well. More suited for 6.1, obviously.
Guest Turborepu Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 if you add a link to the program in the startmenu you should be able to. thats how i did it.

Guest rigor.m Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Replaced Samsung Task Switcher with this... brilliant... Taskbar is a little tricky though... it pops but it is very difficult to click the icons...edit: okay so you hold the corner and slide your finger on what icon you want.. that works much better... Guest maf107ezk0 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Ok, it`s great but I have a question - can the sound that comes on when you tap Stop All be removed :D I really annoyses me ;)
Guest Turborepu Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 you might be able to edit the sound files or try deleting them from the install folder.
Guest jason07 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Ok, it`s great but I have a question - can the sound that comes on when you tap Stop All be removed :D I really annoyses me ;) (Depending where you installed it) Program Files -> Task Manager -> Task Manager -> Audio Replace 'Stopall.wav' with a silent .wav file (just rename it to 'Stopall.wav' and overwrite.

I don't seem to have this problem. Might be a screen sensitivity problem?
Guest sealeviathan Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) Zoom status works fine with Titanium (wm6.5) if you change registry value "Exclusive" to zero for Titanium plugin. You should enable both plugins ("Windows Default"(Titanium) and ZoomStatus) in Today items settings. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Windows Default"] "Exclusive"=dword:00000000 Edited June 17, 2009 by sealeviathan
Guest jenben Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Problem with selecting icons when zoom bar appears, as soon as you touch an icon the whole zoom bar disappears, I like the idea but not sure on how to get it to work correctly. Brendan
Guest jason07 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Problem with selecting icons when zoom bar appears, as soon as you touch an icon the whole zoom bar disappears, I like the idea but not sure on how to get it to work correctly. Brendan It should depend on which icon u hit. Some of them won't have a function (like the very left icon) so that will just make the bar disappear. But for the rest of them, they should simply run the normal action that the corresponding icon in the normal task bar would run (eg. the volume one opens volume control). The main problem I have at the moment is if I'm NOT connected to the net (GPRS) then that icon won't do anything... Not a real concern for me but I can see how it could be annoying.
Guest jenben Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 The only one that does work is the task bar and that I have to sort of slide my finger over it, the whole zoom bar is just so touchy which is a pitty it wont work for me as it is a good finger friendly idea.
Guest wackyiraqi Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 I have installed Zoom status..Now how do I remove it? :D
Guest 000edu Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) I have installed Zoom status..Now how do I remove it? :D 1 - Deselect ZoomStatus in Settings->Today->Items 2 - Delete folder: \Program Files\ZoomStatus 3 - Delete file: \Windows\ZoomStatus.dll 4 - Delete registry key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\ZoomStatus Edited June 17, 2009 by 000edu
Guest Adrynalyne Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 It would be nice if we could add exclusions...stop all tends to kill start.exe on 6.5, and hence, the start menu is broken until sr.
Guest jenben Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 I have installed Zoom status..Now how do I remove it? :D Mate I always have a back up of the registry saved to my memory card, so when I went to remove this program and found it was not in the list I just went back to my PHM Regedit and restored it easy and quick. I make a back up copy often as well. By the way how did you fare with zoom bar did it work for you? Brendan

I just cant get then to sync Edit: I installed the two cabs in "my device", not in "my memory" or "SDcard" and it works fine. Thanks Edited June 23, 2009 by reinamesa

I guess that explains what it was. I loved it but wound up uninstalling it because Start was acting funny (reallllll descriptive there huh) and this was the last thing I installed.
