Guest jeffrey2000 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Google navigator (http://www.pdafun.net) can do this, if the other person has the same program you can view each others position aswell. if you select email it will dispaly the current time/date and a direct link to google maps with the location in it. Guest PuijkeN Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Google latitude that's included in google maps Indeed, I've used it a couple of times and it is really funny. Some of my friends have it on also and you can even tell when they're driving with the car somewhere. Really cool application! Just use it with your Google-account and you can share your location, and get your friends' location on the fly! :D
Guest jeffrey2000 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Or you could use gippos (http://www.gippos.com), install it in on both Windows Mobile phones and see/chat with each other at the same time... you cannot really send an sms or email but you can see it straight away on the program. The latest version (v1.9.0) supports "google" (satelite/roadmap), "microsoft" (Satelite/roadmap/hybrid) and "openstreet" (roadmap) maps if the other person doesn't have a wimo device you could also go to the main page and see the location by filling in their gippos id and it will show the exact live location (if not in a building :D ), see demo pic below... Find me at: http://www.gippos.com/79574 ;) :D but it just displays the last known location when the app was running. Edited June 16, 2009 by jeffrey2000
Guest Salubri Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Google latitude that's included in google maps I have google maps installed on my Omnia but I don't have these options on it. Does it require a newer version or something?
