hello,

i was wondering if it was possible to make an lock application who works similar to the "Golden Finger" app of the acer M900 Smart Handheld

this is a video of the app:

so i wondered if we coud do the same with the omnia dpad not that it realy scans your finger but at least that it looks like it does.

I'm sure it would be possible to just find a way to code the down key as the unlock button.. At least it doesn't seem like it would be too hard..

I would rarely want this. If my fiancee needed to use the phone or an emergency came up and my phone was the only one around and I was dying I would be badword.

What he's proposing on the Omnia wouldn't matter in your emergency situation... he just wants something that locks the phone until you swipe your finger over the optical pad. It wouldn't be user specific; kinda like S2U2, but from the Dpad not the touch screen.

Hey you could perhaps use AE Button Plus, one of the customizable buttons is "Down Arrow" which you can set to 'device lock'.

It works great except with the 6.5 lock screen there doesn't appear to be a way to unlock using anything but the slider...
