Guest Get666 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) hi, i had signalproblems for long time with my omnia. i couldnt rly call with my phone. signal goes always from full to nothing! i didnt know why.. but i had at the same loactions with my N95 perfect signal! so it have to do with the omnia. but after reading this guide (to dissasemble my omnia for changing the touchpanel) http://rapidshare.com/files/190078886/SGH-...vice_manual.pdf (page 7-2, picture 6) i had an idea... i heard something about windows mobile 6 having problems with multiple data connections.. dont know if thats true... but i decided to pitch (plugout) my GPS cable.. just for testing .. because at first i dont need a GPS and at snd maybe its the signals problem. another reason is i cant rly use my omnia as navigator because battery is empty very fast. so im using tomtom go. but b2t.. after pitching my GPS i have more signal then ever with my omnia and i can call every ppl with my PHONE^^ and everyone understands me now. its a device for phonecalls now lol maybe i could help... sry for ma english and im just noticing u. samsung said i should check my omnia from an service store.. but i dont need gps, so i dont need repair. hf and a nice day get66 btw: for sure u lost ur guaranty if u open ur device! I generally get pretty good reception, and use my GPS frequently (I have a car charger... which is where i use GPS, so the battery is no prob) so this doesnt apply to me, but im sure some people may benefit from this.

Guest Get666 Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) what? btw @lastnikita: i remember that there was no loose cable to find befor i wanted to unplug my gps. so antenna was pluged in for sure. i still have super signal! rly! if i need gps.. i will plug in it again.. i just have 4 screws to open. but its better to deactivate it complete :> have a nice day Edited June 18, 2009 by Get666
