Guest jason07 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 I thought Diamond TV was average... SPB has some issues (gets stuck on one of the load screens recently). There's a few others; PocketLive TV is one...
Guest spv_dman Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 diamond tv is good, but the channels are pretty limited, download skyfire and watch all the sport you want on iraqgoals.com, works a treat! I have to agree with mcduvet. I'm using Skyfire for quite some time now, and it's the best browser for viewing video streaming that I've come across so far. :D
Guest snubbe Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 I'm trying SPB tv right now and have some "issues"... What I do like is the User Interface. I like the fact that a lot off available channels already are listed, I also like the way they have implemented a tv-guide and I like the simplicity. What I DON'T like is the fact that SPB TV doesn't work without those "issues"... The problems I have is that the available bandwith is really poor, even though I'm running the connection over my own wifi-net at home. I can't say for sure that my problems with the connection only depends on SPB TV, but I DO know that all the other programs I have installed in my Omnia works fine over the wifi-connection at home (even streaming video with skyfire for example). Further more there seem to be some sort of problem with the memory again. Watching tv with SPB TV works best right after a softreset of my Omnia. If I try to watch tv after have used my omnia in different ways for a couple of days without a restart, SPB tv won't work at all. It tries to open a channel, but nothing happens... It's a real pity, since I actually like the program, but with these "issues" in my mind and the fact that the long channel-list still doesn't have any swedish channels (or skandinavian), I'm probably uninstalling SPB TV again. Unless I can find a solution to the issues in a couple of days... ...It doesn't look to bright right now...
Guest EDBANGER Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 I have to agree with mcduvet. I'm using Skyfire for quite some time now, and it's the best browser for viewing video streaming that I've come across so far. ;) What websites do you use to stream from using Skyfire then? I use Zattoo on my PC and that would be perfect for mobile as they have some decent channels on there. Unfortunately it's not mobile comaptable though.
Guest Mr. B! Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 I've tried SPB TV and Diamond TV as well. Both were OK (not super great) for watching some re-runs. Seems to be a lot more foriegn content/news channels. The interface was ok, but it did get stuck once in a while trying to scroll through the channels. A few of the episodes of "The Beverly Hillbillies" was just horrible...stopping/starting/stopping/starting. Until something better comes along I think I'll just stick with Skyfire/Hulu.com
Guest necosino Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 I just tried Hulu for the first time. It says that my platform is unsupported, and according to this story, Hulu is blocking SkyFire!? ;)
Guest deviant24x Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 I just tried Hulu for the first time. It says that my platform is unsupported, and according to this story, Hulu is blocking SkyFire!? ;) Yeah, I saw that too. I was able to stream Hulu at one time on skyfire. Hopefully they resolve the whole issue of being worried about people from other countries being able to access Hulu. (which is the cause they stated for blocking skyfire)
Guest Mr. B! Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 (edited) They just recently started blocking skyfire. Skyfire no longer works with Hulu.com...same with PS3 and I believe Wii as well. Haven't heard any "good" reason as to why they started blocking it though. Yeah, I saw that too. I was able to stream Hulu at one time on skyfire. Hopefully they resolve the whole issue of being worried about people from other countries being able to access Hulu. (which is the cause they stated for blocking skyfire) Edited July 14, 2009 by Mr. B!
Guest Hitdyl Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Well I guess they do that because Skyfire uses a server in between I think it will make it possible for Non Americans to watch Hulu since it will looks like the american server is watching

Guest yiitcakir Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 i've tried both spb and diamondtv.spb has great interface.more channel feature.it's better than diamondtv i think.and for those who will watch tv via browser.i recommend you to use mach5 web browser.it's more stable than skyfire.good interface and the best feature is when you hit play button it asks you to play the video fullscreen.it's fantastic.
