I am jsut about to reach the end of my contract in the UK with T-mobile and am due an upgrade. I have loved my omnia for the most part but dont especially think microsoft have moved on with WM 6.5.

I dont really want an Iphone but do love the interface on that phone. I have been thinking about a blackberry (as i do miss having a full on keyboard) but have been tempted by the Omnia 2 and the palm pre. So many phones and I am struggling to see where to go next (if anywhere!).

What if anything are you thinking of replacing your omnia with (phone or OS really please).

Thanks

I just replaced my omnia with the Samsung Saga...its slightly bigger, but provides the touch screen and windows mobile with hard keys like a blackberry....I am very happy i switched, and also, basically everything you liked and installed on the omnia works perfectly on this phone.

Omnia 2 Pro, just hold out for a few more months. WM is way more customizable. It's up to you, what do you want out of your phone?

umm... looking at N97 or SSung I8910 or possibily palm pre but not sure if wanting to go back to S60 as any of these would mean new GPS software apps etc (had a e71 and liked besides screen size)...

more than likely will stick with WM6.5 as find it fast and most features besides calandar notification which sure will be muchly improved soon but the home screen on i think the omnia pro had a very functional looking today screen

so Omnia pro (depending on weight as IMO touch pro is a porker at 176gm) or the Omnia II is a good enough step up in features... wow its great to have so many choices... :D

No kidding. In January when I got the Omnia I just wanted a touch-screen WinMo phone that was <$200, and I only had 2 options. The omnia and some little white thing that looked ridiculous. :D

If I had to replace my omnia I'd get one of those blow up dolls they sell in the adult bookstore. I don't have anything else to play with when my girlfriend is away. When she's not around I just tinker on my phone. Now that guys have touchscreen working with android I'm sure that'll be an impetus to go farther and port all the drivers and make it work perfect. Therefore that'll reinvent the omnia in all it's glory. When I get bored of wm I'll swap to android and vice versa and never have to worry much ideally. Unless I'm getting sex out of something the Omnia is what I count on for my fun time =)

Viable alternative replacements:

- Nokia N-97

- Iphone 3G S

- HTC Touch Diamond2

- Samsung I8000 Omnia II

- Samsung B7610 Omnia Pro

- Sony Ericsson Satio

- Toshiba TG01

But the one which will most likly be the one to replace it will be:
