Guest oraclegustavo Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 (edited) Late last night I noticed my i910 wont rotate anymore using the motion sensor. I have tried tuning the motion sensor to manual, closing the settings and then going back in and putting it to automatic and still nothing. I have tried soft reseting and taking the battery out and leaving it out for a couple minutes and nothing. Everything else works fine but not that. I am running Adrynalyne 3.7 WM 6.5 rom. btw, I did not drop the phone and have never dropped the phone for that matter. Anyone have any suggestions? edit: it was actually Adrynalyne 3.7 WM 6.5 rom, but its still doing the same thing Edited June 21, 2009 by oraclegustavo

I am running Bgill55's 2.3 WM 6.5 rom. btw, I did not drop the phone and have never dropped the phone for that matter. Anyone have any suggestions? I was using BGill55's 6.5 v2.1.7 ROM until reverting to the CC20 last night (I had messed w/ BGill's settings so much that nothing was working the way I wanted), but I'm going to give his v2.3 a shot and see if I can replicate your issue. Be back in an hour or so! :D

Guest jokerls240 Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 OP: Did you flash with the full or base ROM? I just dropped his base ROM on mine and have no issues with auto-rotate, but again, I just flashed to this ROM about 30 mins ago.
Guest oraclegustavo Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Are you using Rotation Service? hey, its actually your rom, which is really awesome btw. I have no idea what that rotation service is.

Its working ok on this end....if its doing it on a hard reset, I can't help but think there might be a hardware issue going on there.

Thats what I'm thinking too but I'm trying to hold out hope for something software. I have not hard reset it since flashing to your rom though. Edit: Now it's decided to start working just as mysteriously as it stopped. Trust me when I say it wasnt for me not trying to spin it to get it rotate. I kept spinning it and spinning it, really fast and really slow and it wouldnt rotate. But it seems to be working now. Hopefully it will stay that way. Edited June 21, 2009 by oraclegustavo
