Guest celz Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Hey dudes I'm using Sector's awesome 6.5 ROM, the latest one: 21815, M2D update 19b (pretty sure thats the one..) as well as the latest M2DC (0.29 or whatever it was) My problem is that when you click the clock in the home tab it automatically goes to WinMo 6.5's new clock app. I have downloaded and installed Omnia's original Clock and Alarm app which I VERY MUCH prefer. The reason is because WinMo 6.5's alarm app will only use .wav files, and I really don't like the way it plays the sounds, with very big gaps of just silence when it finishes playing the sound before it repeats it. So my very obvious question is how would I change the clock button to go to Omnia's clock app instead of winmo 6.5's default clock app? thanks.
Guest Nicklashidegard Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Option 1: install SSMaHo.. It's a prog that "changes" the links in M2D, from the soft keys to any link on the M2D screen.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493810 I used to use it, but i can be a bit unreliable.. Option 2 (the easies way): change the soft keys using M2DC (i've got my right soft key on the home screen to point to Galarm). Option 3: Install Vjbrisk. It's a program which "replace" the original program (for example the WM 6.5 clock) with a link that can be pointed to any program (for example the samsung clock). However you have to back it up or you'll loose the original program. And this obviously changes the WM 6.5 clock in all apps / Ui's ....
Guest celz Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Thanks for that. One question about Vjbrisk though, you know how if you set an alarm, the home screen (in M2D as well as Titanium) will indicate that you have set an alarm, if I replaced the WM 6.5 clock with Samsung Clock, will it detect that I have set an alarm and indicate this in the home screen? I really don't think that it would. but I will test it myself...

Guest celz Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Wow, really? setting an alarm in GAlarm will put an alarm indicator on the home screens the same way as WM 6.5's clock alarm does?
Guest Crushader Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Yup, but make sure you tick the option show alarm on today in GAlarm option menu
Guest qbus Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Wow, really? setting an alarm in GAlarm will put an alarm indicator on the home screens the same way as WM 6.5's clock alarm does? Yes - it creates fake alarm on standard alarm tool which makes all applications which checks that to show properly alarm time.
Guest Nicklashidegard Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Yeah, Galarm is def the best once you get used to it..
Guest celz Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 just tried G-Alarm, not only is it an awesome alarm app it's also got a really cool tilt-sense capability! wow!
